The Grand Galvez Resort & Spa

The Grand Galvez Resort & Spa, originally opened in 1911 as the Hotel Galvez, is a historic resort hotel in Galveston, Texas. It was named to honor Bernardo de Gálvez, 1st Viscount of Galveston, for whom the city is named. The property was added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 4, 1979, and is a member of Historic Hotels of America, the National Trust for Historic Preservation's program. The supplied source material for this entry provides documentary confirmation of the hotel's establishment date, naming origin, and historic-designation status. No precise geographic coordinates, detailed ownership timeline, or architectural specifics beyond these points are provided in the sources available for this record. The research notes and cited materials contain no descriptions of hauntings, apparitions, sounds, physical effects, named entities, witness reports, or other paranormal claims tied to the Hotel Galvez. Therefore this entry does not document any reported supernatural phenomena — any such claims are absent from the supplied sources and would require additional, independent documentation to include.
